This helicopter when regd. to the United States Army as 67-17305 was operated by the Army Aviation Detachment in West Berlin and based at Berlin Tempelhof.
This helicopter had remained in Berlin after the Army polled out of Tempelhof during August 1994.
It is now stored at Berlin Tempelhof inside a hangar which is in use by the museum as a depot which is not open to the general public since at leased 1997.
The airport of Berlin Tempelhof has been closed after 85 years, and there for was also the oldest commercial airport in the world till the 31st of October 2008.
